Over the last 25+ years, Don has worked as a Senior Director supporting small and large businesses working within their Operational, Commercial, Business Development, Marketing and Fundraising teams across the Profit and Non-Profit sectors. His experience includes developing & restructuring company marketing, brand, commercial and partnership development, budgeting, fundraising, financial planning, and pipeline evaluation. Don has worked with senior political figures (UK, USA & Europe), high profile brands, governments, and foundations – with an emphasis on operations and income development.
Prior to joining the UK Cyber Security Council, Don worked with one the largest membership NGO’s in Europe, with Membership Associations operating in more than 140 countries. His role was Global Director of Business Development, operating as part of the leadership team he led a global team responsible for more than £250 million of government contracts across UK & the EU. He was also the Transition Executive Director of one the UK’s largest health system strengthening projects awarded to a UK based NGO in the last 5 years. The projected operated across Africa, Middle East, and Asia. Don managed and built the team including leading on the recruitment of a senior team and building an operational infrastructure in Nairobi, Kenya with more than 50 staff operating across 16 countries.
